FAQ
Any questions?
We are here to help you.
How do the zones differ from each other?
The zones differ mainly in the hourly price, the maximum guaranteed response time, and the volume discounts. The Core Zone offers the fastest response times and the highest volume discounts, while the Extended Zone has the slowest response times and for example does not offer emergency services.
Can I request a technician spontaneously?
Yes, you can request a technician spontaneously right now without being in an active contract with us. However, the hourly rate will be about 75% higher, and further restrictions may apply. If you request this service regularly, you will need to sign a contract with us.
How does emergency response work?
We will have technicians available on-call 24/7, who will be on their way within 20 minutes of us being notified by you due to a emergency situation. Arrival time at your racks depends on the city and datacenter you are located in, to get more details regarding the specific times for your case please contact us.
What counts as emergency:
- Power outages
- Network outages
- Critical hardware failures (e.g., CPU, motherboard)
- Spine or leaf switch failures
- Cooling system failures (leading to critical temperature rises)
- Physical security breaches or alarms
- Environmental monitoring system alerts indicating imminent danger (e.g., excessive humidity, water leaks)
What does not count as emergency:
- Non-critical hardware failures (e.g., non-critical amount of disk failures in a RAID, memory failures when there are still enough DIMMs to power the system)
- Management switch failures for out-of-band management interfaces such as IPMI
- Routine maintenance tasks (e.g., equipment upgrades, patching)
- Minor fluctuations in environmental monitoring system that are within acceptable ranges
- Other non-urgent administrative tasks or inquiries
How does the price per visit get calculated?
For a visit you will pay either a) the price per visit as minimum, or b) the hourly price if it exceeds the price per visit. If the hourly price is 100€ and the price per visit is 150€ you would pay 150€ if the technician works one hour and 200€ if he works two hours.
What does maximum response time mean?
We guarantee that a technician will be on their way to your datacenter or co-located racks within, at most, the time frame you selected.
How does the monthly commitment work?
The monthly commitment is the number of hours you have to pay per month, regardless of whether you use it or not. If you opt for a minimum monthly commitment of 10 hours, you must pay for at least 10 hours each month, even if you do not use the service. In return you will receive a discount on the hourly rate.
What does contract length mean?
The contract length is the minimum period of time you have to commit to using our services. If you opt for a contract length of 12 months, you must use our services for at least 12 months. In return, you will receive a discount on the monthly base fees.
